Description
Autism Jersey; Championing a full and inclusive life for people with autism by raising awareness and working in partnership with all agencies to help and support those people, their families and Carers.

Volunteer role
Could you befriend someone with Autism?
Befriending volunteers are trained and given support to enable them to provide flexible and quality support to individuals and families affected by Autism.
Befrienders can be matched with a child or an adult with autism, or they might even be matched to spend time with other members of the family.
Befrienders do not need any prior knowledge of autism as we provide full initial and ongoing training.
We are looking for men and women who are approachable, reliable, willing to learn and sensitive to the needs of others. Volunteers must be at least 16 years of age.
For further information contact the Jersey Co-ordinator Suzanne Rentsch on 07797 926348 or e-mail s.rentsch@autismjersey.org
