Anna Le Moine Gray Anna was born in September 1963 in Brittany (France) and arrived in Jersey in 1972. She was educated at Beaulieu Convent School and French secondary schools in Quimper and Rennes and went on to study Architecture at the ‘Ecole d’Architecture de Rennes’ followed by Philosophy, English, Breton and Compared Linguistics at Rennes and Oxford Universities. She was taught drawing and painting, from the age of 13, in the studios of the painters Isabelle de Longvilliers, Camille Nuri and Philippe Lejeune. Anna now paints almost full time and also teaches Art to groups of adults and children in Jersey and in France. She is married with two young sons, often subjects of portraits. She has exhibited regularly in mixed and solo exhibitions since 1984 and illustrated several books.
