The Orders make certain exemptions and requirements for unregulated funds. Road Traffic (Speed Limits) (Amendment No. 3) (Jersey) Order 2008 R&O 101/2008 This Order makes provision for temporary speed limits at schools and road works. Traffic Signs (Amendment No. 17) (Jersey) Order 2008 R&O 102/2008 This Order inserts new signs into the Traffic Signs (Jersey) Order 2008. These are the island-wide speed limit sign and a temporary 20 mph speed limit sign to be used at schools. The above 2 Orders were made by the Minister for Transport and Technical Services on 15th August 2008 and come into force on 22nd August 2008.

Minister for Health and Social Services Redevelopment of Radiology and Emergency Departments at the General Hospital Applications are invited from approved building contractors who are licensed under Part II of the Regulations and Development (Jersey) Law 1973, as amended, and who wish to tender for the redevelopment of the Radiology and Emergency Departments at the General Hospital. The contract works will involve a phased internal remodelling and fit out of two new department areas in a fully occupied and operational building. A new mezzanine floor will be constructed with the phased installation and coordination of new mechanical and electrical services. There will also be various external alterations. The form of Contract to be used will be the Standard Form of JCT Building Contract 1980 Edition, local Authorities with Quantities incorporating amendments 1-15 inclusive adapted to incorporate States of Jersey local conditions under the direction of Nash Waddington Architects, St Andrews Studios, St Andrews Place, Charing Cross, St Helier, JE2 3RP. The successful contractor may be required to enter into a Contract Guarantee Bond with Zurich GSG by which he will be jointly and severally bound to the States in a sum not exceeding 10% of the contract amount. The Body was first established in 2004 and its purpose is to make recommendations on the appropriate level of remuneration for elected members of the States. It does this following the receipt of oral and written submissions as well as by undertaking whatever research it considers necessary. This year the Body will be required to make recommendations, by the end of 2008, on the appropriate level of remuneration for elected members of the States for the 3 year period starting on 1st January 2009. The Body consists of a Chairman and 4 other members, all of whom must be appointed by the States on the recommendation of the Privileges and Procedures Committee. Persons interested in being considered for membership are invited to write to the Greffier of the States giving brief details of their personal and professional background and setting out why they believe they could make a useful contribution to the work of the Body. It would also be helpful if prospective members could indicate whether they would be willing to serve as Chairman of the Body if invited to do so. Applicants must be able to demonstrate that they will approach this work in a totally objective and impartial manner. The appointments are not remunerated as such but members of the Body are paid expenses of £20 per day for time spent working for the Body to cover any incidental costs incurred. SMALL quantities of domestic waste, metals and glass, sorted into their respective categories may be delivered in cars or SMALL vans. No commercial vehicles will be permitted to use this facility. All gas bottles, containers of oil and chemicals must be handed to an operator and not mixed with other refuse. - No rubble or ground will be accepted at Bellozanne, it may be disposed of at the La Collette Reclamation Site during normal working hours. No waste delivered to Bellozanne is to be removed from the site.
