In memoriam to loved ones in the Armed Forces.

1.
They shall not grow old,
As we that are left grow old,
Age shall not weary them,
Nor the years condemn,
At the going down of the sun,
And in the morning, we will remember them.

2.
You often said I'd miss you,
Those words have proved too true,
my dearest friend,
Dear (name) when I lost you.

3.
Upright and just in all his ways,
Faithful, true to the end of his days,
In silence he suffered, in patience he bore,
Till God called him home to suffer no more.

4.
Remembrance is a golden chain,
Death tries to break, all in vain,
To have, to love and then part,
Is the greatest sorrow of one's heart.
The years may wipe out many things,
But this they wipe out never,
The memory of those happy days,
When we were all together.

5.
There's a sad but sweet remembrance,
There's a memory fond and true,
There's a token of love, dear,
And a heartache still for you.

6.
He is not dead who gave his life
To make the world a better place,
The memory of noble deeds,
The passing years can not efface.

7.
He paid the debt to his country,
In the fight for right he has won,
And the King of Kings has spoken,
'Thou faithful one, well done'.

8.
Asleep in Jesus, blessed sleep!
A calm and undisturbed repose,
From which one never wakes to weep
Unbroken by the last of foes.

9.
Servant of God, well done!
Thy glorious warfare's past,
The battle's fought, the race won,
And thou are crowned at last.

10.
The pains of death are past,
Labour and sorrow cease,
Life's long warfare closed at last,
His soul is found in peace.

11.
For those we love within the veil,
Who once were comrades of our way,
We thank Thee Lord, for they have won,
To cloudless day.

12.
His last parting wish,
We would like to have heard,
And breathed in his ear,
Our last parting word.
Only those who have lost,
Are able to tell,
The pain in the heart,
In not saying farewell.

13.
There is a mother who misses you sadly,
And finds the time long since you went,
And I think of you daily and hourly,
But try to be brave and content.
The tears that I shed are in silence,
And I breathe a sigh of regret,
For you were mine and I remember,
Though all the world forget.
