Fathers Memoriam
1. Always a smile, never a frown, Always a hand when someone was down, A Dad so thoughtful, loving and kind, A beautiful memory he left behind. If he could have spoken before he died, These are the words he would have replied, 'This life for me is passing fast, I loved you all to the very last, Cry not for me but courage take, Love each other for my sake'. May the wings of heaven blow gently on a very sacred spot, Where our darling Dad lies sleeping.
2. A happy smile, a heart of gold, No finer Dad this world could hold.
3. We saw you suffer, heard you sigh, All we could do was just sit by, When the time came we suffered too, But you never deserved what you went through.
4. Father in heaven, hear our prayer, Guard our dear father with loving care, Be a good Shepherd, don't leave him alone, Love him, dear Lord, like we did at home.
5. Time unfolds another year, But memories always keep you near.
6. Within our book of memories, Are pages set apart, Pages filled with thoughts of you, From deep within our hearts. And as we turn each precious page, As we often do, We realise just what it meant, To lose someone like you.
7. No length of time can dim the past, So many memories hold it fast.
8. No one heard the footsteps of angels drawing near, Who took from earth to heaven the Dad we loved so dear, He has not really left us, nor has he travelled far, Just entered God's beautiful garden and left the door ajar.
9. Only those who have lost can tell, The pain of passing without farewell, For all of us he did his best, May God grant him eternal rest.
10. What I would give to see you smile, To sit and talk with you a while, To have you here in the same old way, Would be my dearest wish today.
11. To have, to love and then to part, Is the greatest sorrow of the human heart.
12. Your heart is still now Dad, your pain released, My love goes with you to your heavenly place.
13. A beautiful nature, a heart of gold, To us Dad you will never grow old.
14. We lost a Dad with a heart of gold, How much we miss him can never be told.
15. There's a gift in life you can not buy, That's very rare and true, It's the gift of a wonderful father, Like the one I had in you. Not a day do I forget you, In my heart you're always near, As I loved you, so I miss you, As it dawns another year.
16. Not a day do I forget you, In my heart you are always near.
17. Dad, (amount) years ago you left us, No time to say goodbye, But thanks, dear Dad, for memories, We know will never die.
18. Golden memories are all we have left, Of a wonderful Dad we shall never forget.
19. There's a memory in our hearts today, The passing years can't take away.
20. Beautiful memories woven in gold, This is the picture we tenderly hold, Deep in our hearts your memory is kept, To love and to cherish and never forget.
21. There's a face always with us, A voice we would love to hear, A smile we will remember, Of our Dad, we loved so dear.
22. We speak your name, mention you often, God bless you, Dad, you are not forgotten.
3. In a quiet and lonely churchyard, not very far away, We laid a dear father (amount) years ago today, How constantly we think of you, with eyes and heart so filled, Time changes many things, But not the memories this day brings.
24. His faint whisper we shall love to have heard, And breathed in his ear one loving word, Only those who have lost are able to tell, The loss of a father without saying farewell.
25. Beautiful memories bind him still, To the home and hearts his love did fill.
