In memoriam to Husbands.

1.
I often sit and think of you and how you died,
To think you could not say goodbye before you closed your eyes.
I loved you, (name) and I always will,
I did in life, in death I do still.
Each morning I start with a broken heart,
But carry on daily playing my part,
A smile, a brave front, that's what you would want,
I do that for you (name).
You broke my heart and let him die,
To take my husband who did no wrong,
Forgive me, Lord, if I ask You why.
I miss you so much (name),
Wherever I go, whatever I do,
My day begins and ends with you,
Some day, dear, I'll be there with you.

2.
We never part from those we love, no distance can divide,
For every day in memory we still walk side by side.
You meant so very much to me,
That nothing I can say,
Can tell the love that's in my heart,
As I think of you today.

3.
We never said goodbye, perhaps it's just as well,
For I could never say goodbye to one I loved so well.
In silence I remember, I make no outward show,
But what it meant to lose you, no one will ever know.

4.
He suffered in silence, never complained,
Waiting for the cure that never came.

5.
Each day dawns and starts anew,
And when it closes I think of you,
The tears in my eyes can be wiped away,
But the ache in my heart will always stay.
Wishing today as I have wished before,
That God could have spared you a few years more,
So treasure him, Lord, in Your garden of rest,
For on this earth he was the best.

6.
You only love one husband,
Only his absence makes it real,
Nothing on earth can ever replace,
The sound of his voice and his smiling face.

7.
My heart still aches with sadness, secret tears still flow,
What it means to lose you, no one will ever know,
And when anything goes wrong, I seem to hear you whisper,
'Cheer up, my love, and carry on.'
Each time I look at your photo, you seem to smile and say,
³Don't cry sweetheart, I'm only sleeping,
We'll meet again some day.'

8.
Softly the leaves of memory fall,
Gently we gather and treasure them all,
Unseen, unheard, you are always near,
Still loved, still missed and ever dear.

9.
A million times I've thought of you, a million times I've cried,
If my love could have saved you, (name), you never would have died.
I hear your voice in my lonely hours,
When all is quiet and still,
I feel the touch of your unseen hand,
Guiding and helping me still.

10.
They say that time will heal the wound,
And teach us to forget,
But time so far has only shown,
How much I miss you yet.

11.
The silent grief that's in my heart,
No human eye can trace,
Many a broken heart is hid,
Beneath a smiling face

12.
I miss his smile, his lovely ways,
With him I spent my happiest days,
I miss him when I need a friend,
On him I always could depend.

13.
I will not forget him, I loved him too dearly,
For his memory to fade from my life like a dream,
My lips need not speak when my heart mourns sincerely,
For grief often reigns where it seldom is seen.

14.
Honest and true in all his ways,
Beloved by all to the end of his days.

15.
His face we shall always remember,
His voice we shall always recall,
Memories to treasure forever,
Of a husband who was dear to us all.

16.
I wander to your graveside and place each flower with care,
For the husband I loved so dearly is peacefully sleeping there.

17.
If memories keep us together, then we are never far apart,
From early morn 'til silent night you're always in my heart.

18.
You were so good, so very rare,
Content in your home and always there,
Kind, unselfish, ready to aid,
The dearest man God ever made.
You had a smile for every one,
A heart as good as gold,
No one knows what you suffered,
Because you never told.

19.
A silent tribute to a wonderful partner and devoted husband.

20.
Another page in our book of memories is sadly turned today.

21.
Looking back with memories,
Upon the path you trod,
We bless the hours we had with you,
And leave the rest with God.

22.
I have only your memory, dear husband,
To remember my whole life through,
But the sweetness lingers forever,
As I treasure the image of you.

23.
You left memories to blossom,
Bearing fruit for years to come,
In the lives of those who loved you,
Precious memories of days that are gone.

24.
No morning dawns, no night returns,
But that I think of you,
Those left behind are very good,
But none replaces you.
Many a silent tear is shed,
When I am all alone,
For the one I loved so very much,
The one I called my own.

25.
I seem to see in the soft, dim light,
A face I loved the best,
And think of him when the sun's last ray,
Goes down in the far off west.
I miss you no less as time passes on,
Than I did the day of your going.
