In memoriam to Mothers.
1. We had such happy times together, We had some sad ones too, But the saddest day for us, Mum, Was the day we lost you.
2. You only have one mother, And I'm proud that you were mine, For all the love you gave me, Will last till the end of time.
3. No one heard the footsteps of the angels drawing near, Who took from earth to heaven the Mum I loved so dear. She has not really left me, nor has she travelled far, Just entered God's beautiful garden and left the door ajar.
4. You often said we'd miss you, Your words have proved so true, We lost the best friend in the world, dear Mum, When we lost you.
5 God saw you getting weary, He did what He thought best He put His arms around you, And whispered, 'Come to rest'.
6. To think we did not say goodbye Will always bring regret, But the hearts that always love you, Are the hearts that won't forget.
7. A happy face, a heart of gold, No finer Mum this world could hold, You fell asleep without goodbye But memories of you will never die.
8. She troubled no one, her wants were few, She was a Mum so very rare, Content in our home and always there. Unselfish and true in all her ways, The dearest Mum God ever gave. No one knew how much or how long she suffered because she never told, There are others, yes, we know, But you are ours and we love you so.
9. There's a face that's always with us, A voice we would love to hear, A smile we will always remember, Of our mother we loved so dear.
10. No treasure on earth can replace you, To us you were so dear, How can we help but long for you, And wish that you were here.
11. A golden heart stopped beating, Two willing hands are still, The one who did so much for us, Is resting at God's will.
12. Your end was very sudden, It made us grieve and cry, The saddest part of all Mum, Is we never said goodbye.
13. Keep her in Thine arms, O Lord, Now that she is Thine, Love her as we love her, With a love that is divine.
14. You were my Mum, now you are gone, But in my heart you still live on.
15. A beautiful memory, dearer than gold, Of a Mum whose worth can never be told.
16. Dear mother, rest, thy work is o'er, Thy loving hands shall toil no more, No more thy gentle eyes shall weep, Rest, dear mother, gently sleep.
17. What she suffered she told but few, She never deserved what she went through, She left us suddenly, her thought unknown, But she left us with a memory we are proud to own.
18. No one knew the pain she bore, Beneath the smile she always wore, A loving memory, dearer than gold, A mother whose worth can never be told.
19. In heaven, dear mother, I'll find you, When God's great work is done, I shall stand once more beside you, When He calls for me to come.
20. Those who have a mother, cherish her with care, For you never know the heartache, till you see the vacant chair. Always so loving, unselfish and kind, Few on this earth her equal to find, One of the best God could send, A loving mother right to the end.
21. Her life was full of kindly deeds, A helping hand to all in need, A pleasant smile, a heart of gold, No finer mother this world could hold.
22. There's a beautiful place called heaven, A place free from care, A heaven where God only takes the best, I know because my Mum is there.
23. Two dear bright eyes, a tender smile, A loving heart that knew no guile, Deep trust in God that all was right, Her joy to make some other bright. If sick or suffering one she knew, Some gentle act of love she'd do, No thought of self but of the other, I know he said 'Well done, dear mother'.
24. Years of striving, little of play, Loving, giving the whole of the way, A cherished smile, a heart of gold, To the dearest mother the world could hold. Happy memories, fond and true, From us who thought of you.
25. True was her heart, her action kind, Her life was a pattern to those left behind, God knows best for reasons divine, But memories last for all time.
