In memoriam to Wives.
1. Parting has heartaches, no one can heal, Memories are keepsakes, no one can steal. However long our lives may last, whatever grief and joy we bear, we will always think of you. Some may think you are forgotten when they see us smile, But they little know the heartache that is buried all the while. In heaven one day we'll join you, when earth's great work is done, We'll stand once more beside you, when God calls us to come.
2. Parting comes and hearts are broken, Loved ones go with words unspoken, I miss you more than anyone knows, As time goes by the emptiness grows. The tears I shed are wiped away, But the ache in my heart is there to stay.
3. Time goes on but memory stays, From your sincerity, patience and sweetness it will always. With silent tear and aching heart, It still is hard to part. My path is lonely and sad without you but what do I find, With sweet flowers of remembrance that path is lined, And as their petals I unfold, they do alone, Again remind me of memories I am forever proud to own.
4. It is hard to travel the road alone instead of side by side, But to all there comes a time when the path divides, So when I am sad and lonely and I wonder why you have gone, I ask God to forgive my tears and help me carry on.
5. Time helps heal life's sorrow, a smile hides many a tear, But memories keep you near to us, despite the passing years.
6. God took you home, we had to part, He eased your pain but broke our hearts.
7. The gates of memory never close, How I miss you no one knows, Wishing today as I have wished before, God could have spared you a few years more.
8. They say time heals all sorrow and helps one to forget, But time so far has only shown how much I miss you yet.
9. That would I give to see you smile, To sit and talk with you awhile, To be together in the same old way, Would be my dearest wish today.
10. Loving memories of my dearest wife. Parting comes and hearts are broken, Loved ones go with words unspoken, Silent thoughts of you remain, Treasured forever till we meet again.
11. God keep you safe within His care, Make up for all that seems unfair, A haven of rest, no worry or pain, God bless, till we meet again.
12. It's hard to travel the road alone, instead of side by side, But to all in life there comes a time, when paths of life divide, When I am sad and lonely and wonder why you've gone, I ask God to forgive my tears and help me to carry on.
13. You fell asleep without goodbye, But memories of you will never die. Gone are the days we used to share, But in our hearts you are always there. Never more than a thought away, Quietly remembered every day.
14. Time heals all sorrow and helps one to forget, Time so far has only proved how much I miss you yet, When I am sad and lonely, I wonder why you've gone, I ask God to forgive my tears and help me carry on.
15. Swift and sudden was God's call, When He took you, I lost my all, We were so happy, you and I, Then you were gone without a last goodbye. I miss you in a million ways, With you I spent my happiest days, What would I give if I could see you smile, To sit and talk a while. But only loneliness fills my days, But love and happiness once we shared, is mine to cherish for always. I laugh, I smile, I play my part, But behind it all is a broken heart, Home is lonely without you, life will never be the same, So goodnight, God bless in the same old way, I miss you more each day.
16. We often sit and think of you and then of how you died, To think you could not say goodbye before you closed your eyes.
17. A beautiful nature, a heart of gold, To us a memory that will never grow old.
18. My wife is gone but not forgotten, Never will her memory fade, Fondest thoughts will ever linger, Around the spot where she is laid.
19. As each day dawns I think of you, At eventide a prayer, In a heart, my wife, that loved you, You will always linger there.
20. I've lost my life's companion, A life linked with my own, Only God knows how I miss her, As I go through life alone.
21. Sleep on, dear wife, in the spot where you lie, Sadly we miss you though time passes by, The pain you suffered so much has ceased, We pray to God rest your soul in peace.
22. God gave us love and happiness, And all that life could hold, But just when life was sweetest, He called my loved one home. Too sweet to live, too good to lose, But 'twas not left for me to choose.
23. I hear your voice in the lonely hours, When all is quiet and still, I feel the touch of your unseen hand, Guiding and helping me still. Each day you walk beside me, I loved you too much to forget, Some day, please God, I will find you, Till then, goodnight and God bless.
24. A page in the book of memories, The book that taught us kindness, And the meaning of true grace That saved us from heart blindness, Was my wife's gentle face.
25. Deep in the heart lies a picture, Of a loved one laid to rest, In memories frame we shall keep it, Because she was one of the best.
